Topical Overview

For our second general meeting, we’ll be discussing:

1. Racism as an Obstacle to Health Equity, and
   Guest Speaker: Brandon Yan, MS4, UCSF School of Medicine

   • Brandon Yan will be discussing his publication: Death Toll of COVID-19 on Asian Americans: Disparities Revealed.

2. The Impact of COVID-19 on Asian-Americans and Pacific Islanders.

   • We recommend that you check out The Dose, a short podcast about racism against Asian Americans during the pandemic.

We’ll be having discussions regarding these relevant issues so we encourage you to come if you’d like to participate and share your perspective. We continue to hold informal Q&As with our Student Governance members.
