Listing of Leadership Positions

Director Positions

In pursuant to Article VI, Section III – Performance and Attendance, of the CSUEB Pre-Med APAMSA Constitution, Members of the Executive Boards and its assigns must:

  • Serve the full term of their Position, unless under extenuating circumstances. A term is defined as the Operating Cycle of the Organization — one (1) year.

  • No person may hold more than one office at a time.

Eligibility Requirements – A candidate for this position is required to have satisfied the following:

  • An Active Member in the current or prior term.
    Article XIII – Inception Year Provisions permits exemption to this clause until December 31, 2021.

  • Attend a minimum of one (1) General Meeting.


Open Positions

The following positions are open for the 2022-2023 cycle (Term ends on June 30, 2024):

  • President and Vice-President: Elected by the incumbent board.

  • Administrative: Two (2) positions maximum.

  • Advocacy & Diversity: Two (2) positions maximum.

  • Finance, Ethics, & Compliance: Two (2) positions maximum.

  • Membership: Two (2) positions maximum.

  • Public Relations: Two (2) positions maximum.

  • Administrative Director

    Rights, Duties, and Responsibilities:
    – Responsible for scheduling for all CSUEB Pre-Med APAMSA related events including Executive Board meetings and General Meetings.
    – Responsible for taking official minutes of staff meetings.
    – Responsible for recording events onto the CSUEB Pre-Med APAMSA calendar.
    – Coordinates events and/or programming each term.
    – May serve as Chapter Historian in addition to duties listed above.

    Limitation(s):
    A maximum of two (2) Administrative Director(s) during the current cycle.

    Recommended Skills:
    Proficiency in Google Calendar and Zoom.

  • Advocacy and Diversity Director

    Rights, Duties, and Responsibilities
    – Drives CSUEB Pre-Med APAMSA’s diversity initiatives on Asian Pacific American social, economic, and/or other topics, that do not include health/medical-related topics.
    – Drafts resolutions with respect to the above issues. Advocacy & Diversity Director(s) may coordinate with Health Affairs Director(s).
    – Address General Member concerns and issues that relate to Asian Pacific American non-medical topics or Academic topics.
    – Facilitates the development of General Member growth during their academic career at California State University, East Bay.
    – Coordinates events and/or programming each term.

    Limitation(s):
    A maximum of two (2) Advocacy & Diversity Director(s) during the current cycle.

  • Finance, Ethics, & Compliance Director

    Rights, Duties, and Responsibilities:
    – Responsible for CSUEB Pre-Med APAMSA’s bank account and all its related activities.
    – Responsible for requesting AS funding for CSUEB Pre-Med APAMSA related events.
    – Responsible for budgeting and accounting all financial activities of CSUEB Pre-Med APAMSA.
    – Coordinates events and/or programming each term.

    Limitation(s):
    – A maximum of two (2) Finance, Ethics, & Compliance Director(s) during the current cycle.
    – This position is subject to a technical examination that covers the following functions: AVERAGE, CONCATENATE, PIVOTTABLE, PIVOTCHART, SUM, and PRODUCT.
    Training may be provided depending on the applicant’s proficiency level.

    Eligibility Requirements: A candidate for this position is required to have satisfied the following:
    – Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
    – Execution of an Independence and Conflict of Interest Declaration.

  • Health Affairs Director

    Rights, Duties, and Responsibilities:
    – Responsible for CSUEB Pre-Med APAMSA’s health initiatives. Initiatives include, but are not limited to: (1) Specific topics or issues (e.g., hypertension, diabetes, obesity, etc.) affecting the Asian Pacific American Community; and (2) Mental and physical health issues affecting the Asian Pacific American Community.
    – Responsible for resolution drafting with respect to the above issues. Advocacy & Diversity Director(s) may coordinate with Health Affairs Director(s).
    – Responsible for addressing General Member concerns and issues that relate to Asian Pacific American medical topics.
    – Coordinates events and/or programming each term.

    Limitation(s):
    – A maximum of two (2) Health Affair Director(s) during the current cycle.

  • Public Relations Director

    Rights, Duties, and Responsibilities:
    – Responsible for bi-weekly to monthly e-mails regarding CSUEB Pre-Med APAMSA related events.
    – Responsible for creating posters or other material for CSUEB Pre-Med APAMSA events.
    – Responsible for all media related activities (e.g., website, social media, newsletters, etc.).
    – Responsible for editing all media related projects for CSUEB Pre-Med APAMSA.
    – Coordinates events and/or programming each term.

    Limitation(s):
    – A maximum of two (2) Public Relations Director(s) during the current cycle.

  • Membership Director

    Rights, Duties, and Responsibilities:
    – Responsible for bi-weekly to monthly e-mails regarding CSUEB Pre-Med APAMSA related events.
    – Maintains for CSUEB Pre-Med APAMSA’s database of members and e-mail communication.
    – Responsible for icebreaker activities at General Meetings.
    – Coordinates events and/or programming each term.

    Limitation(s):
    – A maximum of two (2) Membership Director(s) during the current cycle.

Officer Positions

In pursuant to Article VI, Section V – Officer Positions, of the CSUEB Pre-Med APAMSA Constitution:

Rights, Duties, and Responsibilities:

  • Support the Division Director in whichever initiatives are ongoing for the current term.

  • The Division Director may delegate additional responsibility to Officers.

  • An Active Member in the current or prior term.


Open Positions

We are not accepting Officer Positions for this Cycle.
