For more than 60 years, Cal State East Bay has served the Bay Area as part of the California State University system, providing access to higher education for a diverse student body and advancing regional engagement through its academic programs and leadership.

The Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA) is a national organization of medical and pre-medical students committed to addressing the unique health challenges of Asian and Pacific Islander American (APIA) communities.

Founded in 2021, its origination was derived from recognizing academic, professional, and developmental inadequacies that were highlighted during the COVID-19 pandemic. Its guiding pillars of, “Cultivating Relationships. Growing our Community. Identifying Opportunities.” remain its guiding stars as it navigates through its inaugural year.
