Professional Development Workshop Recap

Dear CSUEB Pre-Med APAMSA Community,

Over the past few weeks, we've hosted our Professional Development Workshops to prepare our pre-med students for work and allopathic and osteopathic medical school applications:

Interview Tips and MMI Overview — Traditional Interviews Focus

This workshop was facilitated by The Princeton Review and aimed at tips and best practices on presenting yourself and engaging the interviewer with your story.

Interview Tips and MMI Overview — Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) Focus

This workshop was facilitated by The Princeton Review and aimed at tips and best strategies to tackle situations presented in this different type of interviewing format.

Mock Interview/MMI Sessions - Spring 2022

The goal of this session was to practice your interviewing skills learned from the first two workshops with medical students that still need to review your application file. This meant coming prepared about why you would like to pursue a career in healthcare!

We had medical students from:

  • A.T. Still University - Osteopathic Medical School

  • Michigan State University - College of Human Medicine

  • University of California, Davis - School of Medicine

  • Western University of Health Sciences - College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific

All attendees engaged with medical students to further their development by learning how to improve and network so that they may have future resources at their disposal.

Overall, we're pleased with how we can help our community reach its goals and hope to bring more events like these in the future!

Warmly,
CSUEB Pre-Med APAMSA
